MASTERCARD 2008 RAFFLE PROMOTION
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Per DTI-NCR Permit No. 0996, Series of 2008


PROMOTION PERIOD : April 14 to June 30, 2008


II.        TYPE OF PROMOTION : RAFFLE


III.       COVERAGE : All eligible Standard MasterCard,
           Gold MasterCard, Titanium MasterCard, Platinum            MasterCard, World MasterCard and Premium Debit            MasterCard cards issued by banks in the            Philippines.

IV.      LIST OF PARTICIPATING OUTLETS/BRANCHES:

           All accredited MasterCard merchants and            establishments outside the Philippines.            

V.       PRODUCTS COVERED:           

           All eligible Standard MasterCard, Gold MasterCard,            Titanium MasterCard, Platinum MasterCard, World            MasterCard and Premium Debit MasterCard cards            issued by banks in the Philippines.

VII.      WHO ARE DISQUALIFIED:

           All employees and relatives up to the second (2nd)            level of consanguinity of MasterCard Asia Pacific,            Pte. Ltd., MasterCard International Philippines, Inc.,            McCann Worldgroup Philippines, Fuentes Publicity            Network Inc. and 1-ISA are disqualified from joining            the promotion.

VIII.     WHO ARE QUALIFIED TO AVAIL?

           All cardholders of eligible Standard/Gold/Titanium
           /Platinum/World/Premium Debit MasterCard cards            issued in the Philippines. The Cardholders’ eligible            Standard/Gold/Titanium/Platinum/World/Premium
           Debit MasterCard card accounts must be existing and            in good standing at the time of the promotion and all            throughout the redemption period.

           By participating in the promotion, each participant            fully and unconditionally agrees to these terms and            conditions and accepts that the decision of            MasterCard Asia/Pacific Pte Ltd and its external            auditors regarding the Promotion and all matters,            related to it, including without limitation, the            interpretation of these Terms and Conditions, is final            and binding and no queries shall be entertained.


IX.      HOW TO JOIN?

1. The Promotion period is from April 14 to June 30, 2008.
   
   
2. The Promotion is open to all eligible Standard/Gold/ Titanium/Platinum/World/Premium Debit MasterCard cardholders of legal age whose cards were issued by Philippines-Member Banks.
   
   
3. Cardholders must make an overseas purchase / payment and should charge a minimum of USD10 (or any foreign currency equivalent to USD10) in a single receipt, excluding card fees and interests, on their eligible Standard/Gold/Titanium/Platinum/World/ Premium Debit MasterCard cards within the promotion period to get one (1) electronic Raffle number entry.
   
   3.1 Internet purchases from merchants / establishments abroad charged to eligible Standard/ Gold/Titanium/Platinum/World/Premium Debit MasterCard cards are considered overseas transactions; and are thus qualified for the promotion on the same Terms and Conditions as in clause 3 above.
   
   
4. Electronic Raffle number entries will be randomly assigned to the eligible Standard/Gold/Titanium/ Platinum/World/Premium Debit MasterCard cards upon an overseas purchase of an item amounting or equivalent to USD10 or more.
   
   
5. Overseas purchases of more than USD10 (or any foreign currency equivalent to USD10) in a single receipt will be broken down into multiples of USD10 and will be given the corresponding number of electronic Raffle number entries. Denominations in excess that are less than USD10 will not be eligible for another Raffle entry. Receipts cannot be combined.
   
   
6. There will be one (1) Raffle Draw, with a total of seventy eight (78) winners, two (2) weeks after the end of the promotion period.  (see Table 1)
   
   
7. MasterCard International Philippines Inc. will process the qualified entries within two (2) weeks of close of the promotion period, and conduct the Raffle Draw at the end of the second week.
   
   
8. Each eligible Philippines MasterCard or MasterCard Debit cardholder may win more than once in the promotion.
   
   
9. The Raffle Draw will be held at MasterCard International Philippines Inc. office.
   
   
10. The Raffle Draw will be attended by a Department of Trade & Industry (DTI) representative.
    
    
11. Prizes are transferable but may not be convertible to cash. In case a particular prize is unavailable for any reason whatsoever, the winner may choose the cash value of the prize or another product replacement of equal or higher value.
    
    
12. All winners will be printed in a winners’ advertisement to be published in The Philippine Daily Inquirer and will also be notified by phone and an Official Notification Letter sent by registered mail, based on the cardholder’s information in the records of the respective issuing MasterCard member bank. Winners must present the Official Notification Letter, their winning eligible MasterCard or MasterCard Debit card, the original statement of account (SOA) or the charge slip (indicating the winning overseas transaction/purchase), their tax identity number (TIN), community tax certificate (CTC), and any valid photo-ID. Neither the Sponsor, nor any of the MasterCard member banks and participating merchants’ outlets shall be liable for any winner notification that is lost, intercepted or not received for any reason. If for any reason, the winner does not redeem the prize, the prize is henceforth forfeited upon DTI approval.
    
    
13. MasterCard Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. reserves the right to verify if the drawn entries are from eligible Standard/Gold/Titanium/Platinum/World/Premium Debit MasterCard and MasterCard Debit cardholders.
    
    
14. MasterCard Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd.’s decision, in concurrence with the Department of Trade & Industry’s (DTI's) rules and regulations, regarding this promotion will be deemed final and non-negotiable.
    
    
15. The 20% prize tax will be paid by MasterCard Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. where applicable.

XI.    DETERMINATION OF WINNERS - DRAW DATE

1. All eligible Standard/Gold/Titanium/Platinum/World/ Premium Debit MasterCard cardholders’ purchases abroad and Raffle entries will be tracked by MasterCard International Inc. in the USA where the database will be kept until the time of Raffle Draws.
   .
2. This information is highly confidential and cannot be transferred at anytime to comply with international regulations to avoid fraud, tampering and mishandling of said data. As is the case, cardholders will not be able to determine the number of Raffle entries they have acquired during the promotion period.
   
   
3. MasterCard International Philippines Inc. will determine the qualified account numbers from the international database but only then will the data be available for review and verification.
   
   
4. From the pool of qualified entries, MasterCard International Philippines, Inc. as witnessed by a DTI representative, will determine the winning participants by manually drawing number combinations using 10 sets of ping-pong balls (each with 10 balls representing 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0) that would correspond to assigned numbers among the entries.
   
   
5. Seventy eight (78) primary winners will be drawn, with twenty (20) fallbacks drawn only after drawing of the first seventy eight (78) winners.
   
   
6. MasterCard International Philippines, Inc. will verify the names and addresses of the winners through the Philippines-issuing member banks and advise the winners.
   
   
7. The draw date will be two (2) weeks after the end of the promotion period:

XII.   PRIZES

XIII.    NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS AND CLAIMING OF            PRIZES

           Winners will be notified by phone and registered mail,            based on the validated cardholder information by the            respective issuing MasterCard member bank, and a            Winner’s Ad will be published in the Philippine Daily            Inquirer. Winners must present the Official            Notification Letter, their winning eligible MasterCard            or MasterCard Electronic card, the original SOA or            the charge slip (indicating the winning overseas            transaction/purchase), their TIN, CTC, and any valid            photo-ID.  Redemption of prizes is within 60 days            from the time winners were notified. Prizes not            redeemed or claimed within the 60 day period will            automatically be forfeited with prior approval of DTI.

XVI.   CLAIM PERIOD: 

           Redemption of prizes is within 60 days from the time            winners were notified. Prizes not redeemed or            claimed within the 60 day period will automatically be            forfeited upon DTI approval.
